Dr Ruth Collins Chartered Psychologist PhD DCounsPsy AFBPsS
Ruth is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist providing a confidential, safe and supportive environment for clients to talk through difficulties face to face. She has extensive experience of counselling on a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia and relationship difficulties.
She offers both brief and longer-term counselling and psychotherapy drawing on existential and mindfulness-based approaches as well as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Ruth is also a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors, and offers supervision for trainee and qualified clinical and counselling psychologists and counsellors.

Ruth, Barbara and Sarah also regularly run courses for specific groups such as local NHS staff, and staff and students at the University of Oxford.
An eight-session Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) course starting on 7 October, 2017 at St Ethelwold’s House in Abingdon.
A six-session Mindfulness course for OUH and MedSci staff starting at the John Radcliffe Hospital on Tuesdays from 17 October.
